Summary
After the battle with Lucifer, Castiel and Ileana Winchester are left adrift. Dean lives with Lisa, Sam is in the Cage, and Adam is in school. Ileana, battling depression and chronic pain, nearly succumbs to despair. Castiel, choosing to stay on Earth, finds them a home through a job at the Gas N Sip. While Castiel adapts to human life, Ileana navigates her illness, supported by the store’s kind owner, Mr. Peterson, and a growing community. Letters Ileana writes to Dean are intercepted by Lisa, deepening her isolation. When Mr. Peterson’s son threatens their safety, the found family fights back. Eventually, Dean learns the truth and reunites with them. Together, they heal, finding hope in ordinary life and each other.

Dean didn’t remember getting shot. Maybe that was a good thing. He did remember Cas spinning around as Dean fell, Cas screaming in rage and killing whatever it was that shot him. He also remembered Cas’ shout to Sam, which brought Sam faster than he had ever run.

Summary
He’s had plenty of body aches, and he’s no stranger to sleeping limbs, but this is a new kind of lack of feeling spreading through his bones like a disease. His vision blurs and his mind drifts in and out like a sketchy radio station.
He almost calls out, but his voice dies in his throat, suddenly feeling tired. More tired than before, breathing is hard; not panic-attack-hard, or not-having-enough-air-hard, but as in his lungs just won’t put in the effort to expand; they too had gone achingly numb.
Why hasn’t Sam stood up? Is he also experiencing this strange out-of-body trip? Dean hopes not, then they’re both screwed.

Takes place in the weird, "milk run," downtime between/around 11x7 "Plush" and 11x8 "Just My Imagination". It has nothing to do with those episodes though.
