Summary
After the dead rose at Ethlene Castle, the number of fallen were beyond count, too many missing in action, too many wounded to take name. With no news, as weeks turn into months, Maxi cannot help but think the Remdragon Knights have perished. Yet with her pregnancy progressing, she still feels a part of Riftan inside of her, giving her the strength to return to Anatol and carry on living.

This story is an alternate version of events based on what would have happened if Riftan had forced Maxi to return to Anatol after discovering her in Ethlene Castle before any of the events in the book. The dead rise and overrun Ethlene Castle. The war in the north is drawn out when the monster city is discovered and Maxi does not have a miscarriage.The story follows the novel so may include spoilers if you are only following the manga.
