When his rare but typically bad heat struggles arrive, Wriothesley does what he does best- hide in his office and work through the discomfort. Pumped full of medicine. However, he did not anticipate that the Iudex would come to him when he missed another one of their meetings. Ruining him and his plans in the process.

“Hm?” Neuvillette pulls away when he feels something familiar on Wriothesley's neck. “Why are you wearing scent patches?”
Wriothesley freezes, eyes wide, then sits up. He touches the patch— patches, there had been more than one— as if he’d forgotten they were there.
“Oh… you know.” He shifts uncomfortably, attempting to shift his focus. With a smile, he assures, “You can never be too careful. It’s that kind of season, yeah?”
The arrival of Wriothesley's first real heat during his relationship with Neuvillette brings a flood of suppressed emotions.
