Their arrangement had started when Luz had whispered to her, in the smouldering ashes of everything going wrong or perfectly, wretchedly right (it depends on who you ask; depends what time of the day you ask Eda), that Alador, Em, Ed and Amity didn’t really have anywhere to stay anymore since that Odalia had holed herself up in the old property with all those freaky weapons.
“I’d kill her for the property,” Amity had then said, without any prompting whatsoever and very little context.
“You can stay with me,” Eda had countered, levelling Amity with the kind of glare that said I remember all of the sleepovers I let you and Luz have, you better remember that, too, you freakishly powerful badass that reminds me way too much of myself, let’s talk about murder and arson when you’re eighteen, m’kay? And Alador had let out the kind of audible sigh of relief that said there was something lurking under the surface that he didn’t want to admit.
Post-Belos, Post-Collector, Post-Societal Collapse, the Blights crash at the Owl House and a couple of weeks into the new arrangement, Eda handles a visit from Odalia in a less than proper manner.
