“I wanna go on a date, Zoro. We haven’t been on one since before the Grand Line!” Luffy said much too loudly next to Zoro’s ear, hands tugging at his hair in emphasis. “It’s been too long!”
Giving up on the pretense of sleeping, Zoro opened an eye, looking down at the wiggly captain in his lap. “You’re the one that keeps dragging us from adventure to adventure, Luf. We haven’t had any peace or quiet since then!”
Or, Luffy and Zoro go on a date, kind of, on their ship. The crew tries to “help”.

Summary
“I’ll always protect you,” Ace had said that night, his voice low but resolute, each word trembling under the weight of a promise too vast for a child to hold. His hands had been steady then, resting on Luffy’s too-small shoulders, grounding him in a truth as unshakable as the storm outside. “Just survive, Luffy. No matter what, you have to survive.”
Years later, those words return like an unrelenting tide, crashing through the ruins of a battlefield bathed in blood and fire. Luffy kneels amidst the chaos, his trembling arms wrapped tightly around Ace’s lifeless body. The world around him fades into static, the roar of the flames a distant hum, eclipsed by the soundless weight of his grief.
“I survived,” Luffy whispers, his voice fractured, the syllables barely holding together under the strain of their meaning. His fingers clutch desperately at Ace’s shoulder, his nails digging into skin slick with blood as if sheer force could anchor him, could pull him back from the void yawning wide in his chest.
But Ace is still.

And in the Undercity, kids don’t stay kids for long. Jinx has grown up around this nonsense for years. So she bites the proverbial bullet and decides to see what all the fuss is about.
“It was one time!” Jinx complains in sheer disbelief. “It wasn’t even that good!”
