“You really think we're all just stupid down here, don't you?”
The voice came not from a throne or some other elaborate display of power, but from behind the taproom’s bar. Caitlyn raises her head and watches a very muscular woman with messy pink hair mix a drink.
“Despite keeping Piltover on its toes and evading you guys for years, somehow your best plan is to sneak through the vents?”
Finishing the drink, she slides it across the bar towards Sevika. Using her free hand, she downs it in one gulp and grins. “Not bad, Boss.”
Boss. This was Vi, legendary crime lord of Zaun. The one who took over for Vander after smearing his killer to the floor.

Summary
Stillwater Prison sat alone and in the dark, a bastion of punishment on an island removed from the rest of the world. The place was quiet, those inmates who hadn't fled the night of Jinx’s riot having been evacuated before the battle against Ambessa began in earnest.
Officially, it had been to protect them. Unofficially, the Commander had been concerned Ambessa might try to take the prison and turn those incarcerated against Piltover.
It was a moot point now, Caitlyn thinks, as she runs a hand over the heavy steel doors that bade entrance to the dungeon. Ambessa had never made it that far, and there was debate even now if the institution should be reopened - to the people of Zaun, it was a symbol of corruption and oppression.
To the people of Piltover, an uncomfortable reminder of their compliance in such.
None more so than Caitlyn. Having shed her title as Commander, she was no longer the supreme power in the twin cities, and the eye taken from her only served to brand her a hero amongst the forces who had fought that day.
But she didn't feel like a hero. Far from it.
