Summary
When the Federation Starship U.S.S. Summary
After suffering years of endless turmoil during the Second Shadow War and its aftermath, Rhaine Alcinea struggles to transition into her new life as the newly-promoted Chosen of the Lord of the Dead. But instead of encountering the expected softness, they are met with a rough, discolored patch of skin. She runs her fingers over it with utmost care, feeling the raised texture. Contentment in Shekhinah’s demeanor instantly dissipates. Concern permeates her voice at the reminder of his condition. “It spread” she utters, her voice unsure and almost inquisitive, her expression betraying the extent of her worry.
