    Summary

After dying on Korda 6, Jaster Mereel wakes up again. In Hel, of course, because there wouldn't be demagolkase hunting ad'e in the Manda. But Hel or not, it doesn't matter—Jaster will do whatever he has to do to protect the Young on Melida/Daan.

Only, things aren't quite as they seem, here…

Dying hurt both more and less than Jaster had expected.

Something—the Manda, maybe—whispered that things weren’t as they seemed, but Jaster decided that didn’t matter. Whether this was some sort of Hel or something else entirely, there were ad’e in danger. His duty and his purpose were clear.

Jaster had a job to do, and he wouldn’t stop until he’d seen it done.

Jaster had been prepared to accept that this was some strange sort of afterlife. He’d been prepared to accept that, after death, he’d been reincarnated, in a sense, into another life. He’d been prepared to accept any number of strange possibilities, but this was…

Well, according to the terminal, he was seven years in the future from where he’d just been before this, on Korda 6.

According to the date on the terminal, he was a karking time traveler.

    Summary

Jaster Mereel and his True Mandalorians were revolutionaries, that much is made clear. But what was their revolution, and how did it come to be? They were swept into the dustbin of a history that was written by the ones who benefited from their massacre; we know very little about them. In canon, they exist mainly to further the backstory of one person, but they still managed to massively divert the course of their people while they were there. Who were the Haat Mando’ade, before they were dead?

    Or,

The author attempts to suss out what exactly the mythosaur skull meant to the first people who wore it

Kenobi sits back in his chair, appearing overwhelmed.
Kote has no sympathy for him. The rage, renewed, writhes in his beskar wrapped ribcage. More machinations, more manipulations; all uncaring of the vod'e. Behind his back, Kote squeezes his wrist between the bracer and the gauntlet to bruise restraint into his hollow bones.
    Calm, quiet. Not yet.

    Summary

Fox the Original, as he called him, had gone MIA on a mission for the Chancellor a year and a half into the war. To keep the pretense of normalcy- for losing a Marshal Commander on the “safe” posting of Coruscant would cause far too much public panic- the replacement Commander had donned the painted armor of the late Fox, took up his name and number, and studied the plethora of reports left behind to mimic his voice.

He was Commander CC-1010 "Fox"- the ninth to hold that name.
