“I’m taking them both.”, he says then, not at all what Jeongguk expected.
Taehyung’s ears perk up a bit, though he remains reserved, and Jeongguk can’t believe it.
He doesn’t want to be adopted. Humans are bad, and the last time someone took them both, they ended up with scars and bad memories that would never leave again. Yoongi looks too wealthy to bother with two inobedient dog hybrids, he’s probably taking them for something he won’t say just now.
Maybe he’ll make himself a coat out of their fur, and a bag from their skin.
Jeongguk wants to fight, but when he looks at Taehyung, he looks so hopeful. How can he really believe that something good will come out of this?

Jeongguk and Taehyung spend half a year in the shelter before a strange human comes to adopt them. While Taehyung is hopeful, Jeongguk doesn't trust him. And Yoongi is sure it'll take a while for everyone to get along.
