Summary
Izuku Midoriya had a good life. Truly, there wasn't a single thing he could realistically complain about.
But call Izuku unrealistic.
When his father comes home after being away on a 'business trip overseas' for 17 years to find that not only does Izuku have a mutated quirk that doesn't come from his family, but is becoming successful even without knowing his father, Hisashi is livid.
And perhaps, some of Izuku's scars were not just from his quirk training.

Hitoshi Shinsou was never really one for making friends. In fact, he has explicitly stated that he didn't want, nor need, any friends. He's in for a reality shock when he gets transferred into the hero course and seated behind a freckled boy with a tendency to make unexpected friends.

Summary
Because Lance is scared of Pidge, unable to say no to Hunk and maybe a little bit in love with Keith, he ends up on a trip to a ski resort despite his deep rooted hatred for anything cold and snowy. The trip was supposed to be cozy and simple, but things can never be that easy for Lance.
OR
“I uh- I really wasn’t kidding about not liking the cold,” Lance admits with a shrug, “but it’s fine. I don’t wanna ruin the fun for Hunk.”
“It doesn’t help that those mittens are crappy,” Keith says, “here, mine are a lot better.”
Lance watches as Keith takes his gloves off and slips them under his arm. When Lance doesn’t move, Keith rolls his eyes and reaches for his hands, taking his mittens off. Lance hisses as the cold air hits his skin, but his face is burning hot enough he’s certain he doesn’t even need the mittens anymore. Keith puts his gloves in Lance’s hands and slips the mittens onto his own.

Lance squinted, "You don't give a crap about sunsets." He accused.
"Hm?" Keith feigned innocence, "Don't know what you're talking about. I love all things sunset."
"You said it looks like the sky is doing a massive, oddly circular, orange shit into the ground."
He tilted his head, a playful glint in his eyes, "Did I?"
"Did you- yes?!" Lance groaned, "You hate sunsets." He repeated.
Keith leaned back on his arms, basking in the golden rays. "You like 'em." He said simply. "So shut up and let's watch it, alright?"
Lance almost fell into the damned waterfall again in shock. Keith was- something else. He'd never met anyone like him. "Your eyes are closed." He pointed out, not letting his useless pining get in the way of him being an absolute brat.

“I can't,” Keith breathed, “keep pretending anymore, Lance.”
The way the sentence was delivered was the same way you'd expect someone to utter their last words, breathy and with abandon. You had nothing to lose, and you just want them to let them out desperately.
“Pretending.” Lance shaped the term carefully in his mouth. He stopped for a tick before continuing, “to… like my family? Or like, the cooking? Because I know it was Rachel's turn to cook but she's getting better.”
Keith let out a laugh that, if Lance had to be completely honest, sounded more like a cry for help.

“What the fuck did you just call me?” Keith asks angrily, rubbing at his own hand, his eyes wide with confusion.
“I didn’t say anything!” Lance defends, gaze flicking between Keith and the mage. He genuinely doesn’t know what the hell is going on.
The mage bows lightly, clasping their hands in front of their chest. “The ritual seems to have worked as expected. Worry not, Paladins, your new bond will vanish by itself once you’ve strengthened the preexisting bond between the two of you enough.”
Lance shivers. What? What fucking bond?
Keith seems equally as bewildered when he looks back at him.
or: Keith and Lance get magically bonded against their will. Whenever they touch, they can hear each other’s thoughts.
