Summary
Set a few months after the events of As We Go Along, Bruce and Joker are now in the throes of a reignited commitment to each other. Though, in many ways, much remains the same. While Bruce navigates all the consequences that come with such a choice, Joker finds himself caught in his own unexpected internal battle, grappling with lingering side effects from Hush and Scarecrow’s torture. A gate from the deepest corner of his mind is threatening to crack wide open and Joker is willing to go to any lengths to weld it shut.
As the two men battle both their minds and what it means to be together, relationships are tested, and Gotham gets caught in the crosshairs, for better and for worse.

Summary
It takes time, and Bruce has never been patient, but it’s an inevitability. Arkham can only hold Joker for so long. Bruce wonders if there is anywhere on earth that could keep him locked up forever.
When the call comes in about an incident at Arkham, it feels like a weatherman announcing a storm that Bruce can already see outside. There is no misting rain this time— it is pouring. Joker is long gone, with less fanfare than usual. Bruce wonders where he’ll find him, but he’s already racing downstairs.
There’s that feeling again, trembling like a fist is closed around his heart. Bruce is only alive when he might be dying.
It is almost like being in love.
