It's dark outside, and they're darting between shadows – the garden is here for the kitchen staff to pick fresh ingredients from, and the last time Lillian found her snipping rosemary she was confined to her room for two months.
"I'm calling for Amas Veritas," Lena clarifies. "I'm binding myself to a person that doesn't exist."
"How do you know they don't exist?"
"They can't. No person can fit all my criteria. And if they don't exist, I can never fall in love."

Lena sighed, her heart beating faster, as her eyes darted between Kara’s. Kara stilled for a moment, realizing that Lena was… wrestling with something. Deciding something. The brunette nibbled briefly at her lip, before nodding to herself, decision made. “My brother is trying to find this artifact. It has properties he wants. And I need to stop him.”
“Why does your brother want the artifact?” Kara asked.
“He plans to kill Superman.”

Following the 100th episode of Supergirl, Metallo Lena crosses universes and ends up at LuthorCorp, set on getting her revenge on Supergirl. Kara not only has to deal with someone trying to kill her again, she also has to explain to her best friend why and how her carbon-copy is walking around LuthorCorp, and has to keep her sister from actually killing the Other Lena.
And why is it easier to talk to the Other Lena who wants to kill her than it is to talk to her actual best friend?
Or,
Evil Lena ends up in National City and Kara can't seem to stay away from her. Her Lena isn't too pleased.
