Summary
When they had first met, Miorine had thought that she and Suletta Mercury couldn't be any more different.
Suletta, a clumsy, demure, anxious girl with a tendency to involve herself in other people's business and play the hero. Excitable, easily made friends, and annoyingly stubborn.
Miorine wasn't anything like that. Prim and proper. Professional. Confident. A loner by nature. At least, that's what she had told herself for most of her life.
But as Suletta continued to integrate herself into Miorine’s life, her every day, Miorine began to question not only how dissimilar they were, but also certain aspects of herself.

Summary
It was just Miorine Rembran's luck that tonight, of all nights, was the one where she found herself cornered in some musty back alley by hired killers out for her blood. It was fight, or die, and it seemed like the latter was the likely outcome.
That was, until a strange red-haired girl showed up. Was her luck finally turning around? No, of course not. Nothing ever went Miorine’s way.
