Summary
As any good Father does, Arlecchino plans a nice birthday for her twins. Procuring fresh fish for dinner is an easy enough task, and an excuse to relax on a nice and quiet fishing trip.
Now, if only someone would stop stealing her catch.
(Inspired by arlecchumi's arlefuri mermaid art on twitter, check it out its really good)

Summary
“Paper rings?”
From the looks of it, she hit the nail on the head. Clorinde averted her gaze and her shoulders slumped like she was a puppy being scolded. Navia’s chest tightened, heart squeezed so tight, she couldn’t help but feel flattered.
Clorinde made her paper rings before- blue, pink, yellow - clumsy, poorly made rings she tried to make perfect every time they went out to play in the forests near Poisson, and every time they were sitting lazily in the Spina’s base.
Navia never questioned them. She just allowed Clorinde to place them on her ring finger, happy with whatever Clorinde made for her. She made the effort, and Navia remembered the paper cuts on Clorinde’s fingers every time she did, which she had to bandage afterwards.
Or
Four times Clorinde gives Navia a paper ring, four times Navia gets jealous, and one time Clorinde does not give her a paper ring.

Summary
They don’t say anything to each other. They don’t have to. The clock ticks in the corner and helps Navia calm the rapid pounding in her chest. Clorinde’s fingertips running up and down her arm and the way Navia can close her eyes and listen to her heartbeat is all that she needs. All that they need.
All she ever wanted was for Clorinde to feel safe. To feel loved and wanted and worth it, like Clorinde had always done for her.
There is no Navia without Clorinde. No Clorinde without Navia.
—
Or, from beginning to end, how Clorinde falls in the bloom of their youth, the way Navia follows suit in the aftermath, and how they continue to intertwine.

Summary
Navia stands up and nearly spills her tea in the process, and Clorinde startles.
With her palms slammed into the table, she blurts out, “We should get married!”
It takes precisely four blinks for Clorinde to say anything. A traill of her tea runs down from her knuckle to the bone of her wrist, though Clorinde doesn’t seem to mind nor care.
“We should… what?” Clorinde says.
—
Or, Navia proposes they make an arrangement of sorts. But she's sure that it won't mess with their friendship at all, she insists.
