"I swear I never called my father that," was the second thing that slipped out of Clark's mouth, after a few moments of tense, awkward silence, because apparently his mouth was feeling pretty confident about running itself with no input or leave from his brain.
"That's good to know," Bruce said, voice very very even. And Clark supposed it was the sort of information one would like to know when discussing that sort of thing, only perhaps not the first thing.
