Summary
“Are we the bad guys?” Atum asks one day, in the primordial void where the rest of the Ennead were. Nobody knew why this topic was brought up, nor were they very interested in answering Atum’s question.
“Well, duh.” Seth replies, strangely unaffected by the uneasy atmosphere that came along with that realization, “ya just figured it out now?”
In which Atum, for as much as he tries to hold onto the position of an almighty being, is not completely void of empathy and guilt for what happened in the previous world. Obviously, he ropes his children into his existential crisis.

Summary
Dream is a good Emperor. He's benevolent, active and his long time in the position of power made so long any challenge for the throne is simply unthinkable.
It's a little strange, any outsider might think. Someone in reign for so long, yet so well-beloved? Bizarre. (But they would not understand. Dream's fundamental nature made it impossible for him to be hated.)
Completely unrelated, there's a legend that speaks of an ancient being who always protects the Empire in wartime, even from the days when it was a mere Kingdom. He's known as the Protector.
Dream knows him as Ink, but also as a fellow Immortal.
Ink knows him as Dream, but also as the Guardian. It's fitting to use the, because the other Guardian is long dead. The dead Guardian had been known as Nightmare. He had also been immortal.
How do you kill an Immortal?
Easy. You kill them with another. But that's all in the past now, isn't it?Isn't it?
Someone waits in the shadows; neither immortal nor mortal (not anymore). He is patient. He is waiting. Soon he will become more than immortal or mortal; become a God. Who will stop him?

After accepting a painting from his brother, Papyrus, Sans is pleasantly (unpleasantly) surprised to find that the monochrome (beautiful) portrait of a young child (about thirteen to fifteen years old) that he got isn’t as inanimate as it seems.
Now he wishes he never accepted the painting, plunged into the darkness of an unknown studio and a world of pain.
Oh. And lots of deaths. Yeah, those deaths were painful.

He coughed.
And coughed, and coughed, and coughed some more, as the sickening gray smoke billowed out of the gaps in the window and obstructed his vision from glancing at his past self, peacefully sleeping away on his childhood bed.
He smiled.
He'd end the pain, keep himself from becoming like this, and die with childlike innocence, what more could he ask for?
OR: Takemichi time travels (yes, travels, because he isn't in his past self's body anymore) to the distant past (he's 10 years old) before any of it ever started. Before Shinichiro died and before he had to be the stupid, stupid hero for Hina that started this tiring journey in the first place.
