The Arctic Monkeys and the Diamond Dogs have never seen eye to eye. The two gangs are notoriously at odds with each other, constantly getting in fights around town.
Alex Turner, leader of the Monkeys, is a sly thief and bike enthusiast that refuses to humble himself just because he’s sorta new in town.
Miles Kane, leader of the Dogs, is a rebel with a cause and nothing will stop him defending his community and values. Not even a pretentious bastard like Turner.
But a common adversary threatens to change this status quo. Will they find a way to team up?
Or will both gangs fall under this much more powerful foe?

Summary
The body shifts on the cot, and a wordless sound escapes on a sigh. There is a sense of heat and—anticipation, like the moment before steel rings on steel. Then, a bolt of pleasure in the gut. Spite knows of nothing in their material vicinity which might have caused such a sensation, but nightmares can conjure the physical reflection of fear, can they not? Surely, then, this is the pleasure of a dream. But it is no kind of pleasure Spite has felt in his time as Lucanis’s passenger.

Lucanis knows little of romance. Sex, the physical act of it, is simple. It has been since the first time Illario dragged him to a brothel. For more than ten years, he knew every pleasure he could want and more besides, but he never fell in love. And then there was the Ossuary, and Spite. And Rook.
Rook, who hired him as a god-killer and promised him vengeance, but who now climbs into his bed at night, kisses him sweetly and makes new promises, that there can be more to life than revenge for what was done to him. Who doesn’t flinch away from the demon inside him, but instead soothes them both with gentle touches and whispered words, whose fearlessness reminds him that he does not need to be feared.
And so Lucanis wishes he knew anything at all of romance, because that is what Rook deserves.

Lucanis had never been so amused watching someone eat. She paused as she considered every bite, sometimes halving it, like she worried about taking too much though none of her bites could be considered anything but diminutive. She chewed thoroughly, vigorously, always with her fingers pressed to her lips to shield herself. She savored, letting out quiet little sounds of appreciation.
“Is that thyme?” she asked suddenly.
“It is.” He was surprised she could detect it. He had used the barest sprinkling, just enough to tame the bitterness of the onions.
A stirring in the back of his skull, movement from a phantom that had held himself so strangely patient that the absence of him was more jarring than his presence. Cook for her more.
A spark ignited in his chest, a need.

When Rook tried to flirt over coffee, they never expected to end up caught between Lucanis and Spite in a battle of wills. Trying to help them both find peace between one another might have worked better before each one had a piece of Rook...
This started very PWP but I slipped and accidentally found a plot, so... oops? Tags have been updated to reflect darker content so please be sure to read!
