Seth handed her the mug he had filled. His face was as perfectly expressionless as ever, but it was no longer the frozen mask of unblinking duty which Eirika was accustomed to seeing on him. Instead, something about the backdrop of the kitchen had changed him. He was no longer an impervious statue but simply a very solemn man with his sleeves rolled up to his elbows and a bit of his hair sticking up in the back.
When he ducked down a second time to give her a spoon, Eirika firmly resisted the temptation to reach out and smooth his hair.
