The boy was even more frightening up close. He had eyes which shone wide and scarily welcoming. It was as if the devil was enticing him–a trap, a test of God. His smile felt sinister, as if he could unhinge his jaw and swallow him whole. His cheery tone sent chills down his spine, his body begging to flee.
He cleared his throat and tried to speak clearly but his voice shook, “Welcome, is there anything I can get for you?” He hated how vulnerable he felt, as if the boy could peer into his soul and steal it in a moment"s notice.

Kiyoomi pulled out a light from his pocket and peeled open one of the man’s eyelids to take a look at his pupils. Huh, he has pretty eyes too. “You are in Osaka General Hospital. There was a house fire where you and several other men were injured. Can you tell me your name?”
