The hand on his head didn"t let go. After a while the warm voice spoke again, this time closer and softer.
"Don"t worry, San Lang. Everything"s going to be fine. I will take care of you." Soft lips brushed over his temple and he started to feel once more the pull of darkness and oblivion. The hand didn"t leave him for a moment, keeping its slow, gentle strokes until everything was almost faded.
As he fell unconscious again there were only two sounds swirling in his head. One coming from the room, a low, soft hum lulling him to sleep to the notes of an old melody. The second a single thought repeating endlessly in his mind. San Lang?

The tent looks as Lan Wangji"s tent always looks, neat and orderly with his brother"s travel possession all properly laid out despite the temporary nature of the residence, yes everything is in its place except-

Except on the far side of the tent where his bedroll is laid out, because the tent is /not/ empty after all, no, his brother is here, in, on, his bedroll, kneeling on his bed roll, kneeling on his bedroll in only his pants, knelling on his bedroll in only his pants with his knees on either side of a pair of hips, his hands pinning another pair of hands against the ground. The drape of Lan Wangji"s unbound hair hides ...whoever this is from Lan Xichen"s sight but the person ...is definitely a person.
OR Lan Xichen walks into what he thinks is his brother"s /empty/ tent and learns many things he would he would REALLY rather not know.

Jiang Cheng whorls to face his brother whose hand is still restraining him. Wei Wuxian looks exhausted, too thin and too pale and covered in too much of his own blood and way too fucking exhausted and what does he mean it’s fine!? “He had you pinned to a tree!”
“Yeah, so?”
“So!?” Jiang Cheng stares at his brother in mingled outrage and disbelief. “You let him do that to you without even fighting back!?”
“Sometimes I fight back.” A bit of amusement is beginning to show beneath the exhaustion now and Jiang Cheng can’t fucking understand what could possibly be funny about any of this.
OR At the end of an already terrible day Jiang Cheng finds someone pinning his brother against a tree.
