  1. Summary

Just a personal collection of short (?) one-shots based around some of my favourite tropes about Todobaku/Todoroki/Bakugou. This series will be just 110% pure self-indulgence and was created simply because of my Need to see these tropes in (more abundant) existence.

    Summary

The deactivation of of the Akasha by the Lesser Lord has allowed the dreams of the people, which had been powering the device for hundreds of years, to once again be consciously experienced by their rightful owners. The people of Sumeru do not dream past childhood. This was one central axiom that had defined life in Sumeru for generations, and a moment's decision from a god was all it had taken to subvert this reality.

    Or

Al-Haitham tries to find the roots of Kaveh's current predicament with logic. Fails. Gets befriended by God in the process.

    Summary

“I’ve designed many buildings in my career,” Kaveh begins, the attention of every single person in the crowd fixed on him. “Most of which have been extravagant pieces made to stand tall in our city and glitter.”

Kaveh glances down at what must be some notes on the podium, pausing before he looks back up, shining in the bright lights of the stage.

“But in recent years, I must admit that my focus has shifted.”

Alhaitham leans forward, watching, hoping for something he can't quite admit. Not when the truth is that he’s never known how to say that he is hungry without fear that people will see the truth that he is starving.

Or, a year after the events of the Interdarshan Championship, Alhaitham finally retires

    Summary

Alhaitham sinks his hands into the tangle of eels and scritches randomly. How long was he out for? His avatar still needs its rest. It wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility for him to have slept a few days away. The eels wriggle happily under his hands. Underground as they are, it's hard to assess the time of day.

It's fine either way. Being notoriously treacherous, it's not uncommon for travelers to take much longer than expected to complete expeditions in the desert. He can always say he was waylaid by wenuts. It's not even a lie.

    Summary

Incorrigible and flushed up to the tips of his ears, he is. Bastard. Kaveh brings a hand up to tuck damp grey baby hairs away from his face, sliding his fingertips along the helix of one ear, and is rewarded with the faintest tremble through his body. He gets another when he leans in, licking at the seam of that acerbic mouth and nipping at his lip with his fangs, just light enough to not draw blood. Alhaitham’s fingers curl and tug at the roots of Kaveh’s hair, knees digging and jerking against his sides until Kaveh lets him breathe.

Not for the first time, Kaveh thinks Ah, I want to eat him.

Alhaitham hits another phantom heat. Kaveh steps up.

    Summary

Occam's razor posits that the simplest explanation for an occurrence is most likely the correct one.

Haitham values truth and logic. And simplicity. It is only natural that he would agree.

And yet, when Kaveh cares for him time and time again in the moments when he finds himself losing time, frustratingly unable to care for himself, the idea of such a simple explanation seems entirely unbelievable. It can't be true. Haitham has done nothing to deserve the conclusion that the logical parts of his mind draw him towards.
