Summary
As Dick woke up groggily, something pinged in his mind, making him open his eyes to look at the clock.
5:58AM blinks on his bedside alarm clock in red, bold lights.
His face lights up with a huge smile, suddenly feeling giddy as he looks outside his bedroom window to see all the snow that’s built up overnight, the sun not even making a tiniest hint of appearing yet.

Summary
So conclusions: either he is here at the mercy of someone who wants to play a little before they try killing him — a mistake despite Jason’s condition, not killing him when they had the chance severely diminishes their future success rate for that fun little activity when he is awake, if not completely fucks it over — or someone who is trying to help him. The second conclusion is just as befuddling as the first because not only does Jason not remember what had left him needing help, he doesn’t know who would help.
He is not without allies but said allies come with a price.
“I can’t tell if you’re having a nightmare or throwing a tantrum with your eyes closed.”
He knew that voice. A source of annoyance but reliable. Trustworthy, his brain supplied.
Warm, came another, frankly unnecessary, addition.
Nobody and nothing had been warm for Jason Todd and he would like to stop being lied to right this fucking instant.

Summary
There were a lot of things Jason tended to forget to tell his family. Some of it was intentional, like the time he poisoned a teacher with cyanide in his energy drink. Some of it was on accident, like the time he didn’t bring up the fact he could puke on command until he did it to get him and Dick out of a confrontation while undercover.
Forgetting to mention the All-Blades, however, was a total accident. Really, it was.
“So they can only be summoned in the presence of evil?”
“Yeah.”
“So what was the evil in the kitchen? Do we need to consult the Justice League?”
“B,” Jason said gravely as he placed a hand on his adoptive father’s shoulder. “There is no greater evil than unsliced bread."
