Here's the tumblr post I wrote that started it all (edited to remove flailing/screaming): "I want to meet Abbie and Jenny's father. I don't want him to be a deadbeat drunk who just bailed on them. I want him to be a warlock or a demon hunter or an angel or a centaur. I want him to be something other than a stereotypical absent Black male. I want him to show up in the midst of/the aftermath of an epic battle; the mist/fog/smoke clears and there's Dennis Haysbert's fine ass with orc blood smeared on his coat, a mystical weapon in his hand, and a Newport hanging off his lip. He offers his outstretched hand to one or both of the girls and they look up at him, confused because they don't recognize him, and he growls "Get up, baby girl. I'm your daddy" and end scene. I want this almost more than I want Ichabbie."

Summary

Summary

The courting, the scenting — all of it was new.
