Summary
More than ten years have passed since the National Dismantlement War. A League of Corporations has taken over the world. To escape the pollution that poisons the surface of the planet, the League has built massive floating platforms called Cradles. Only there, 7,000 meters above the ground, is the air clean and safe. Already, half of mankind lives in the skies. The planet's surface has become a battlefield, where armies fight to control the resource plants that feed the Cradles.
As the war came to a close, giant humanoid weapons called Armored Core NEXTs enabled the League to firmly establish their rule of the planet. Their pilots are called Lynx. Fearing the power and independence of these NEXTs, the League left them behind on the surface. The Lynx now work as mercenaries for an organization called Collared.
This story follows one very specific NEXT, by the name of Queen. Her rise to power, and the allies she makes along the way, may change the fate of the world.

Summary
Three nations sit upon the continent of Halesere: Wyrdholding, Friegid, and Eternia. For many decades, the three had maintained a precarious yet prosperous balance of power. That balance was set on fire and thrown out the window when Friegid and Eternia simultaneously declared war on each other, leaving Wyrdholding to throw up its hands in baffled frustration. To avoid being consumed by the war, the ruling couple of Wyrdholding assigned Princess Claire, youngest of three daughters, to form a group of soldiers with which the King could influence the war. Along with her Tactician, Micah, Claire seeks to end the war between Eternia and Friegid, no matter what.

As an adult, she’s wide-eyed and happy, kind but with a sharp tongue, and she wields her sword much more reluctantly than Lucina ever had to. There’s something of brightness and life in her eyes, an innocence that Lucina envies terribly, deep in her bones.
But she doesn’t have a second chance like that, because she’s a woman grown, and she found her innocence and happiness later in life instead of as a child. She doesn’t really mind, she finds.

Dimitri turns around. Professor Byleth stares at him blankly. It’s kind of intense. Dimitri would feel uncomfortable, but yesterday Dimitri caught Byleth squatting and staring at a cat like that, so Dimitri knows he isn’t special. “Excuse me?”
“You asked what Sothis would say to you,” Byleth elaborates unhelpfully. Professor Byleth. The Professor. “That’s what she says. She says your haircut sucks. I don’t agree with her. Your haircut is very nice, Dimitri.”
Someone probably should have told Byleth that the Goddess was named Sothis.
