Summary
The only certainty we have in life, is, that one day we will die. One might find comfort in that thought, that no matter what might happen during their life, death eventually takes us all. That once we're burried and rotting, we're the part of something bigger, something peaceful.
And yet, we still do anything to prevent or postpone death. That is not because of us, but for those, that we love. Because it is always worse to be left behind, than leaving.
Buck knows about leaving. His brothers know about being left behind. Eddie knows about both. Maybe they all know about both.
Or, Buck getting struck by lightning goes a little differently. Because this time, his family is far away.

“What do you need?” Buck asked as he ran his hands up Eddie’s sides, feeling goosebumps on his skin. He was the most gorgeous sight, laid out like this for Buck.
“I need you in me.” Eddie said, breathing heavy, eyes dark with arousal. But the sweetness was laced with firmness and it became abundantly clear to Buck who was really in charge, if the way Eddie held onto Buck by the back of his head -not pulling his hair, not yet at least- was any indication. “You are going to open me up, slowly, and then you are going to fuck me. And you are not going to let go for one second. Not one second. Understood?”
Buck couldn’t get his tongue to move, that’s how far gone he was already. All he could do was nod.
“Good boy.” Eddie growled and pulled Buck in closer by his hair.
