Eddie ended the call with an explosive sigh, dropping his phone on the couch cushion and raking his hands through his hair.
“That good, huh?” Buck asked from the kitchen.
Eddie grunted and slumped back on the couch to stare bleakly at the fire house ceiling. He was jostled as a warm body settled beside him so he rolled over and pressed his face into Buck’s shoulder.
“Anyone who thinks I’m the overdramatic one in our partnership has never seen one of your tantrums.”
“My parents are visiting,” Eddie said, words muffled by Buck’s t-shirt.
“One of your justified tantrums,” Buck amended. “When?”
“Our next 96 off. They want to stay with us.”

"Come on, Buck. Let it out. I hate this, too. I hate leaving you. Tell me how much you hate it. Yell at me, Buck. Come on, yell at me,” he begs.
Buck snaps. He pushes off the couch and crowds into Eddie’s space.
“Is this what you wanted?” He spits, pushing hard enough against Eddie’s chest that he takes a step backwards. “Hmm? You want me to lose it on you?”
Or, Eddie cannot handle Buck pretending to be fine about his move to Texas. He, in fact, refuses to let him.
