In the storied history of their sex life, Tharn can count the number of things that Type has specifically asked for on one hand. Kiss me more, he’d said once, very early, when Tharn was still treading lightly, hyper vigilant of every caress. Actually, he’d said “you can kiss me more, idiot, you can kiss me whenever you want to,” and then he’d cast his eyes meaningfully sideways and jerked his head, meaning now. Tharn had obliged him readily then, but he’d also been less careful when touching Type in the future. He’d learned from it, rewarded by his study of the language of Type’s body with the clear signals of how good it made him feel, how desperately he wanted it, and it felt like Tharn had heard something correctly that Type wasn’t yet able to say out loud. He had wanted to kiss Type more, anyway, he was up for it all the time then and still sometimes feels it now, the overwhelming certainty that any time spent not kissing Type is meaningless, that in a perfect world he would never have to stop sharing Type’s air.
