Soap doesn't know he’s trans.
Despite this thing that's been festering between them for months, Simon’s kept that part of himself hidden. He knew Soap was gay. He knew the Scot was interested– very interested actually– but every time the flirty banter and lingering touches got a bit too real, Ghost was always pulling away.
He can’t risk telling Johnny about this. Not yet, and maybe not ever, for the fear of rejection hurt far worse than any torture or scar.
Or: Ghost suddenly gets his period for the first time in years. Misunderstandings ensue, causing him to finally come out to Soap.
