Summary
During his first case, Edgeworth visits von Karma during a lunch break to consult him. He overhears von Karma cursing his name and the bullet he gave him, vowing to get him declared guilty one day.
Connecting the dots quickly, Edgeworth flees to the beach house he and his father spent summers at when he was young. Heartbroken by his mentor's betrayal, he tries to jump to his death off a cliff, but his plans are thwarted by a familiar spiky-haired mer.
