Summary
“Serial Mom?” Trixie reads aloud, making no effort to hide her tone of judgment, twisting her nose up. “What, she can’t stop having kids?”
Katya laughs, the joy of Trixie’s honest distaste relieving her fully, “No, it’s about a housewife who can’t stop murdering people. She runs a guy over and then realizes she loves it. And then, you know. You can kinda guess what happens next.”
“Right,” Trixie deadpans, flipping the case in her hand, “She fucks the dead bodies?”

She gets the reaction she wants. Electric eyes widen and she smiles like a fox, levels her with a look that’s got her blood suddenly barbed with electricity.
“Oh, yes, Sheriff.” The other woman drawls in an over pronounced thick accent of her own making, something Southern and almost Slavic. “I’m Bonnie and Clyde. Two in one. And I’m here to steal from the poor and to influence the young.”

Summary
Katya turns to sit on the porch, her feet dangling above the damp cement, and Trixie’s heart is in her throat as she sits next to her. “Thought maybe you needed some help, you look a little stressed,” she says gently, red lips curling to smile. “I’m Katya, by the way. Your hair is beautiful. Sorry I didn’t say earlier.”
