“I don’t know”, Yonji shrugged, his eyes following the motion of his legs as they changed into a defensive stance. His eyebrows furrowed even more tightly together in response. Satoru takes another step forwards, arms spreading wide in excitement, “Yūji-kun! You’re here!”
“Oh my God,” the child repeats breathlessly, sounding far older than any child his age should sound, unable to tear his eyes away from Satoru. The boy shakes faintly, shock maybe, words a shaky exhale, “it’s really- you’re- you look- this is— oh my God!”
Annnnd there’s really no doubting it now.
Clearly those vivid dreams of war, imprisonment and eleven years of growing up is not the dream Satoru had thought it to be since waking up in the infirmary as a seventeen-year-old student, way back before the source of all his problems defected from Jujutsu society.

I stayed up until 2am binging this entire fic the night before a massive test and it was wholly worth it. Genuinely the best HP fic I’ve read- I cannot think of a second. The characterization and in depth arcs that all of the central characters portray reads very smoothly, and realistically, and I can enjoy it tenfold for that. Blaise, Pansy, Draco, and Daphne have some of the best characterizations I’ve seen of them. And the drarry slow burn is well paced, and has a reasonable and natural introduction.
11/10, and I will be rereading after I finish part 2
