Summary
Curly knew he was going to die when Anya locked the Medbay doors. He was relieved it would be her. He had failed her the most. Anya spoke to him about the affects of pain medication overdose, her tone flat and eyes drifting. She held his nub, as gentle as one would handle something fragile and precious, and something in Curly broke then. Surprisingly, and graciously, tears dripped from Curly's eye. The tears stung his burned muscle yet despite this pain Captain Curly could only be grateful to be allowed this respite. He could not - would not - believe he deserved any relief. But he could be thankful. Anya's drifting eyes focused on the rivulets of tears streaming down her captain's face. A soft smile spread on her face and Curly wanted to suspend time at that moment and live in it forever. Somehow, Curly knew this would be the last time he would see the soft-spoken nurse smile.

Summary
[SNIPPET FROM LATEST CHAPTER: "Met God, It's a Fish (the virgin Jimmy prologue)": ]
Oh, I just know you left behind a dog’s dinner. Said the Fish. Your kind always does.
Jimmy exhaled quite loudly. Surely, after everything he’d been through, there was no point in arguing with…well, a fish. He was arguing with a Fish. He figured he could bear to humor it — it was literally a fish.
“My kind? You mean humans?” He asked.
No, mate. Said the Fish. Assholes.
Jimmy is offered the chance to go back for a price, and he takes it with a promise: he will fix things.
Unfortunately, attempt after attempt, in one way or the other, he fails, over and over, and he wakes up on the Tulpar again. Trapped in a time loop, Jimmy learns on his own skin that whatever higher forces sent him back have a very specific definition of “fixing things”, one that doesn’t align with his at all.
Jimmy being Jimmy, it never occurs to him that things might just be beyond fix — beyond his fix, anyway.
