Summary
The club makes impact and Polites' is only able to udder a single word before his world goes black. Seeing his best friend and the only person he's ever been fully vulnerable with seemingly killed.. it breaks Odysseus.
Basically just Age Regression little Ody and caregiver Polites, Odysseus thinks Polites died and he is NOT ok, comfort ensues (Spoiler Alert: he doesn't die)

The cyclops’ movements slowed, Polites dangling over a salivating mouth. “More than you could ever know” It growled mournfully. The soldier’s mind raced. He wanted to survive and to help the pained cyclops, and being eaten most certainly wouldn’t help. Surely there must be an alternate option?

this is a fun fic where Odysseus' crew all make it back alive and Polites hooks up with some gods. and ends up making them fall in love with him

"You're disturbing the poor thing." Dionysus complains, rubbing Polites back, earning himself some kisses."Oooh, someone is getting attached~!" Hermes teases,
“I am not,” he protests, though he still tilts his head slightly in hopes of getting more kisses, hands trailing further down Polites’ body. Though hes interrupted by Hermes climbing into his lap and mushing against them, "I want kisses too," he complains.
"Go find your own. What happened to the mortal you were dancing with?" Dionysus asks as he tries to shove Hermes off, but the little fucker's persistent.
“They went to sleep, plus this one's already giving out kisses!” Hermes insists, laughing, enjoying getting to bother someone like always.
Dionysus is about to get up and make him leave when Polites adjusts himself and pulls Hermes down for kisses as well. Hermes smirks triumphantly, trying to pull Polites off of him, steal his little human from him, but instead Polites resists, trying to keep in Dionysus’ lap while he kisses Hermes.
