Summary
Branch has four older brothers he loves to death. Literally.
Four different flowers bloomed inside him, their petals sprouting outside, the vines constricting his throat, their roots overtaking his lungs. There isn't anything he can do about it. His brothers are long gone, and the potion he can take to save his own life, will mean he forgets his beloved brothers. He is at risk, a risk he never accounted for when building his bunker.
Poppy wants to help him, but he doubts he deserves it, even when she pulls in more friends to do so. Trolls never leave their village, after all, so how can he be helped, if none of his brothers find him? Will he be forced to rot away in his bunker, the flowers growing inside never seeing the light of day? Will he have to drink the Blue Moon potion, and risk losing the few but loved memories of his brothers? Or will they find him in time to save him? ...Do they even want to save him?

He thinks, a tad hysterically, that there’s any number of things the Chef could be asking about. He could give her a list, alphabetised with subheadings.
