Summary
Miya Atsumu hated his job. Ever since a major injury benched him from ever playing volleyball again, he had to find a job with zero qualifications. This ended up being an assistant to a multimillionaire CEO, Sakusa Kiyoomi. After he was hired on the spot, he should have realized all of the red flags that surrounded the position. But, he was just happy to be working. Two years later, he regretted ever applying. But, he"d rather be unhappy and employed then forever job hunting. So, he swallowed his pride and played the little errand boy for the devil himself; his boss. The very boss that had the prettiest face he"s ever seen, the very boss who"s hands would fit perfectly around his body, and the very boss who was the most callous man he"s ever met.
So, after a night out, multiple drinks later, and still upset about the events that played out at work that morning, Atsumu decided that Sakusa Kiyoomi needed a piece of his mind (even if he wouldn"t remember it in the morning). One single email that enacted a string of events that Atsumu could have never seen coming.

“It’s noth—” Atsumu’s voice catches on a cough. He presses a hand to his mouth on reflex, ignoring the judgemental glare Kiyoomi is probably giving him. Well, it’s the right decision because Atsumu coughs something into his hand, something small, petal-soft… petal-like…petal…
Oh no.
“You’re not sick are you?” Kiyoomi grumbles, sounding substantially more composed and pissy.
Atsumu closes his hand into a fist and crushes the petal. “No, I’m not.”
Fuck what everyone else says. If you ask Atsumu, bad puns and emotional avoidance are valid ways to cope with death-by-flowers disease.

Sakusa Kiyoomi watches in silence as another stranger reads the overview of what they do in the shop he’s working in. He sees how the stranger’s eyes are mixed with intrigue and confusion at the same time. Working here means unconsciously learning to read people’s faces and expressions better, predicting what they’ll ask for before they can even utter the words.
The only people he can’t read are those who are far from him, specifically people outside of the shop. More specifically this blond-dyed-haired guy who keeps passing by their storefront, sometimes occasionally stopping to read the sign, sometimes even looking like he wants to enter, but doesn’t.

There’s only a brief moment of silence as Atsumu drunkenly processes Kiyoomi’s words. Then, Atsumu sits back from the chabudai, spreading his arms across the seats of the couch as he stares at Kiyoomi with hooded, challenging eyes.
“Then indulge yerself, Omi-Omi.”
