The Smiling Critters were created for one purpose, to care for the orphans before they are used in experiments. Catnap was napping like usual during the day until he heard something call his name. Catnap joined him in his plan, but it didn't feel like he joined it, more like another part of him did. Years later, everything was running smoothly until alarms started blaring, and the facility erupted into chaos. Hours later, only the experiments remained. Years later, a lone employee returned to find out what happened. Trying to stop him, Catnap had to leave Dogday alone.
After losing the person, he returned to Dogday but found him lifeless on the ground. The inner part of him fills with rage so he makes one last attempt to kill the intruder. Failing, Catnap lay on the ground, defeated. As Catnap lies there, his god descends from the ceiling, asking him to stand up. Gathering strength, Catnap stands, but then feels pain in his throat. Realizing he has been tricked by his false god all this time, he closes his eyes, wishing for one thing: another chance.
