Summary
Hours had passed since Mafuyu had appeared outside, soaked to the bone as rain masked her tears, and things had finally calmed down. Sat at the kitchen table in Kanade's house, Mafuyu was hunched over a sheet of paper, the sounds of her pencil scratching against it echoing around the kitchen. Next to her, Kanade sat with her laptop, tinkering around with the demo of their latest song. Most of her attention was focused on Mafuyu—her facial expressions and body language being subconsciously scrutinised by Kanade, who was ready to leap in and offer comfort if things became a bit too much.
Despite what had happened the night before...everything was so calm. The house that had once felt old with its memories of the sun-kissed past had suddenly had a new lease of life breathed into it by Mafuyu's presence, and Kanade couldn't help but smile to herself.Series

She feels fingers prodding at her cheekbone, sliding beneath the thick layer over her eyes, and as it’s lifted from her, Mizuki automatically opens them—
A burst of pain engulfs her eyes. She only hears herself scream by the way it rips through her throat. Something wet oozes from the corner of her eyes.
She squeezes her eyes shut at the same time as the cover is yanked back over them.
Ena rests her back in her arms, Mizuki slumping limp against her. She can feel the way Ena shakes against her, shoulders heaving violently with her cries.
Or: After Mizuki runs away from her at the cultural festival, Ena finds her on the verge of oblivion.
