"Daisuke felt sick.
Tears welled in his eyes, and not just from the pain. He felt his heart desperately trying to beat, only succeeding in pushing more blood out of him. He tried to see if Swansea was still there, or if he'd vanished like Jimmy. But his vision was flooded and his eyes were stinging and he couldn't see.
Daisuke couldn't see.
He shut his eyes tight, gulping back sobs, and tried to lie still. Moving hurt too much."
...
Daisuke was a bright kid with a not-so-bright future ahead of him. And here, it was all brought to a sudden, undignified end.
