Summary
Cinder tries her best to survive life in the Glass Unicorn.
Survival means taking the sheets from the furniture in the storage room she calls her own in order keep her warm enough to not freeze to death and to get enough sleep to not be punished.
It is not a happy existence. It is barely an existence at all. But this is her fate, and she has accepted it.

Cinder Rose is having a hard time falling asleep. She always does. In the dark silence of the night, her thoughts can't help but keep her awake. Memories that chase her into her sleep but that she cannot manage to hide from. However, her younger sister is having a nightmare too and wants to cuddle with Cinder.
Cinder lets her and finds that she sleeps just a bit better hugging something.
