    “I was very lucky to have found you alive,” Makarov continued, gesturing casually with the pointed end of the forceps towards the IV drip bleeding into your arm. He twirled the instrument between his other fingers. “You would have died without my help.”

    “Next time, save yourself the trouble and put a bullet in my brain instead,” you snarled, yanking one more time against the leather restraint. Still no use.

    He gave another laugh. “You think I saved you for you? No, no… I saved you for me.”
