Post presentation, Steve has yet to go into heat. The enormous weight of his parents’ expectations, Upside Down flavored night terrors, and the crippling void of loneliness—he’s only just beginning to unravel—don’t help this.
At the behest of Dr. Owens, Steve enlists the help of one Eddie Munson, newly souped up alpha riding high on demo-venom, to help him out.
He just hopes he doesn’t embarrass himself too much when Eddie’s addicting scent finally gets the slick to pour.

Steve tilts his head, assessing him in a way that Eddie wants to memorize, maybe chisel its likeness into stone and construct a new Parthenon to house it.

Eddie’s heart flips. “What?” he asks, mouth dry.
“Think you can handle it by yourself, 'big boy'?” Heat floods Eddie’s face at the callback. “So prove it. Take off your shirt.”

Eddie hadn't planned on living. He wouldn't have thrown himself into the mouths the beasts if he'd thought he would have to suffer through the consequences. But he did and he does. Now, he's holed up in the (un)dead police chief's secluded cabin with none other than the former King of Hawkins as his handler. Maybe the bats were the easy part, it's Steve Harrington he has to survive.

Eddie comes back. Eddie comes back … different, but offering up a little blood seems to be an okay trade to Steve.
Because Eddie is back. And he's sworn Steve to keep it a secret.
It's not the only secret Steve has to keep, as he finds he wants to give Eddie more than just a little blood.
What's not a secret is Vecna is still out there, biding time. The Upside Down is opening up and Steve has to find a way to stop it before it takes away everything he loves.
