I'm bad at writing, but, as a gift for my boyfriend, I'm making this GyJo cyberpunk AU. I'll be working on this as much as I can in my free-time!
The year is 3890, most of the world is in shambles as the machines controlling the earth under it's surface have failed or collapsed, new cities have been built over the old ones by corporations, most of Europe, Asia, and the surrounding areas of the United States now being reserved for factories, computer control centers, and robotic testing fields.
To integrate humans into the 'new world' around them, they are raised from birth to their twenties from 'gene-banks' and then placed into mass complexes where they'll work in factories attached to learn work ethic and organization within schedules.
However, this breaks down for one human who takes it upon himself to venture out of his complex during a security breech for a reason even he doesn't know.
Out of the capital, and into the lower Zones, full of the lowlives and trash of the city, who plan a revolution against the corporations above.
And perhaps...Someone who he can find trust in.
