    A world with a sea of clouds, a connection between blades and humans, and a tree watching down on it all. This is the world of Alrest. Our journey follows Rex, a young salvager full of optimism and dreams of grandeur, Zeke von Genbu, the outcast prince of a nation and a person who desires to help others above all, Tora, a Nopon who built Poppi, an artificial blade, to research ruins and find clues to the whereabouts of his Dadapon, Nia, a catlike girl travelling alongside Malos and Jin, who desire to change the world, and Morag, a woman who is more than she seems but is very close to Mor Ardain's royalty. These five, alongside the blades they are bonded to, are set upon a path to learn more about Alrest alongside Pyra, the Aegis who is fearful of her own powers. Will they manage to find the answers they want or will they fall short of the stars?
