Before he can let go of her skirt and step forward, and before the man can put his dirty, unwashed hands on Yuri's Mama, something whistles through the air before a sickly thunk is heard. The man howls, and Yuri blinks at the dagger buried in the man's shoulder, at the ruby red beginning to show through his shirtsleeve.
"She said no. It's time for you to leave."
The source of the words is a boy, dressed all in black with a sword in his hand, a dagger in the other, and a grey wolf pup at his heels.
Yuri thinks he looks a little scary, or, well, that he probably looks scary to the man, anyway. To Yuri, he looks like his Mama's hero.At nine years old, Yuri meets a boy who teaches him how to throw knives.
At seventeen years old, Yuri sees that boy, now a man, from afar, and he wants.
At nineteen years old, Yuri is the leader of the Ashen Wolves, and the Ashen Demon and his wolf come to teach at Garreh Mach.
And no, Yuri did not name his House after Byleth's wolf, Spook. Of course not.
