Flynn, as a wedding planner, shouldn't still feel this small twinge in his chest around the happiness of others. But while people always congratulate him for his incredible job, perfect family, and gentle personality, at 21 years old, he was starving to feel love for someone; to understand this feeling that seems to make everyone around him shine so brightly—so differently.
When he finally felt it though, he didn't know if he should cry or laugh about the absurdity of the situation. Maybe falling in love was not this beautiful when it was for a stupid and sarcastic Yuri Lowell, all flowers and shades of black as he offered him a bouquet of sunflowers like it meant nothing.
Maybe it was even better, thought Flynn as he watched him from afar in the middle of the crowd, not paying attention to the matching rings glowing under the light of the moon, cheers exploded all around them like fireworks. Maybe their vows were not as beautiful as this; as him. -

It just kept going, if you let it.
Until, finally, it didn’t.In the years after the conversion, Raven finds that the thing he once craved but had long lost its allure now slowly...begins to creep in and he now must come to terms with it. As we must all.

Yuri Lowell is a young man who has returned to the university after several weeks’ suspension due to fighting on campus. Nobody knows how he wasn’t expelled, but that’s nothing for Estellise to judge. Not even if she knew the guy could she have judged.
Also, there’s a new kickboxing gym that’s opened up in town, and Estellise wants to go only because Judith had said she was going. She didn’t exactly tell Estellise about her going, but she was in the same room as she was as she talked about it, and it seems like she’s willing to have an audience, so she figures it’s as much of an invitation as any could be.
These two things can’t, and shouldn’t, be related to each other, though. Right?

This is a story where the world isn’t dying and its people aren’t as evil as they could be, though they both still have their jaded sides. Lessons will be learned, but hardships will be overcome all the same, too.
That’s the meaning of life, after all.
