So that’s why it’s surprising when he suddenly starts disappearing for weeks at a time only to return covered in bruises, what’s even more surprising is the fact that nobody of importance even acknowledges it.

He pictured how his life could turn out, taking care of Alex in between missions, jetting all over the world to track down the bastards who orphaned his nephew, and-

That seemed like a far better way to honour his dead brother’s memory.

Ian glanced over at Jones, knew that she knew what he was thinking by the slight upward curl of her lips, smiled, then turned back to Blunt and stared him straight in the eye.

Yassen looked over at him and raised an eyebrow. “No, of course not.”

“Yes? Because he is my chicken.”
“No he’s not!”
After overhearing a suspicious phone call from a stranger, Alex goes to investigate a rural farmhouse. He suspects a plot, a new scheme to take over the world. What he finds is a chicken. Oh, and Yassen Gregorovich is there too.
