Summary
This is a work of fan fiction, written in mind of the movie not the book. The story is taken in the point of view of Prince Justin aka Turnip Head throughout the movie and what may have happened after.
When Justin is found in the wastes, he isn't able to comprehend how he arrived there, how he's been made into a scarecrow, and how the beautiful woman who saved him appears as two versions of herself both young and old, an instant drawl to her leads him to help her and find a way to break their curses. Unaware what happens during her time in Howl's Moving Castle, Prince Justin tries his best to help Sophie. Traveling within the Waste he befriends a Wizard who warns him against Howl. Despite Prince Justin's royal upbringing he fights his prejudices against wizards and aims his efforts to helping Sophie, whatever the costs. When war nears his bargain is called into favor and his efforts to saving Sophie cost him.Part Two, takes place following the end of the movie.

The Witch of the Waste breaks into the Castle and crushes Calcifer—and Howl's heart with him—in her hand. As Howl dies on the floor before her, Sophie magic-talks the universe into carrying her back in time so she can prevent it. Unfortunately, it takes her farther than she intended, and now she has to figure out how to interact with the child she is sure must be Howl—while a child herself.
