A scoff and Birkin was smoothing out the page and scanned it quickly, before he smashed it back into a ball and tossed it onto the floor. All the notes scattered across his coffee table were, hopefully, important enough to keep.
“Is something wrong, Doctor Birkin?” Leon tried to keep his tone level as he asked.
Without looking up, Birkin shrugged. “Sure. I’m just focused. Don’t worry about it.”
“Maybe you need a break?”

Only this time Leon is now a rookie cop, Chris no longer works for STARS, and the entire city has gone to hell. Omegaverse.

So close to putting this nightmare behind them, once and for all - or, at least try to. Because how would he ever be able to forget the chaos and destruction? The death that had taken control of the large city in only days? No one had expected it, no one had been able to prepare or fight against it. No one had expected the zombies to rise, or the lickers, or the other unspeakable, mutated horrors that came to prowl the streets.
But most of all, Leon didn’t expect himself to fuck up this badly, this close to the finishing line.
