Summary
Jason Kaczemarek is 12 years old when the dead start walking. After being abandoned by his parents, he is found by two gruff looking strangers who take him back to their rag tag group and raise him in the cruel reality they have come to know.
This will follow the main arc's of The Walking Dead TV series ( with some major changes later in the book ), adapting plot points from the graphic novel and the spin-offs where necessary.

After the bridge incident, Daryl spent years wandering the woods alone, looking for Rick. That's when a mysterious young girl, turbulent and reckless, arrives in his life. Against all odds, the two protagonists develop a very close relationship. But is the teen as innocent as he thinks? Is she who she claims to be? What would happen if Daryl were to discover the dark secret she is hiding? Would he protect her at all costs, even if it meant putting his own family in danger, or would he abandon her, like so many others have?
I started writing this story a good 2 years ago. I was inspired by the story of The Last of Us, because I'm a big fan of games, and I really enjoyed the series and I love "father/daughter" stories so I decided to publish it. It is a story, above all, about love, hurt, violence, but also about innocence, about a young girl who has to face the world like it is and humans cruelty, but she'll also discover love, tenderness and what family really means. I also warn you because there will be very graphic and violent content, implied rape/non-con scenes. If you are sensitive to this subject, I hightly recommend you not to read this scene. I will put several warnings beforehand. I hope you'll enjoy!
