Summary
Wen Ning was sure this death would be permanent. There wasn't a Wei Wuxian to resurrect him and he figured it was better that way. Almost all those he loved were gone anyway so there was no reason to stay. If given the chance there were things he would do differently. People he would talk to sooner. Relationships he would foster faster. But he was dead, and there would be no third time.
Turns out the Universe had a horrible sense of humor.

It started with rabbits, followed by a comb, a nighthunt, some makeup, and finally, new robes.
Wen Ning bonds with Hanguang-jun over rabbits and music. Wei-gongzi keeps on calling him pretty. He's not pretty though, he's a fierce corpse. Hanguang-jun and Wei-gongzi seem to disagree.
"Ning-shushu, you should have pretty things." Sizhui said, patting his arm.

Summary
Wen Ning is suddenly affected by a monster that seems to revert him to how he was before the Sunshot Campaign, memories and all. The juniors find him in this state on their night hunt, and have to find this creature to get their ghost general back, while also realizing that that monster has fed off of his resentful energy and become much more dangerous than they anticipated.

Summary
«What is this supposed to be!?
The movements of both men are so expert, so fast and accurate that, by the time Wen Ning notices that irregularity, both hands collide, creating a burst of power that sends them both ejected into the air.
The issue here is that both men, as they have already demonstrated, are formidable warriors. Even though the explosion caused them to be thrown, they are able to land gracefully on the ground without the slightest damage. Wen Ning is barely decent at archery, but he's not a formidable warrior; when the energy blast hits him he doesn't land with an ounce of the grace they landed with.
When he opens his eyes he realizes that he is on the ground, and there are two beautiful men on top of him. For a minute he wonders if maybe he's dreaming.»

"Is that candy?" His roommate's eyes were suddenly fixed on the orange mixing bowl sitting atop the fridge.
"Yeah, I bought some just in case. We don't usually get trick-or-treaters, though. Want some?"
Zhuzhi slowly turned his head back to face Wen Ning. His dark eyes were glittering with interest, brows drawn together somewhat nervously, like a shy child. He nodded.
Wen Ning smiled and pushed his laptop away, getting up to retrieve it for him. Not expecting anyone else to be home tonight, he'd put it out of reach of the mice, which was also out of reach of anyone else in the house. Zhuzhi took two candy bars, one to unwrap and one in his pocket for later, and murmured his thanks.
Sensing he was about to leave again, the words came out of Wen Ning's mouth before he had time to consider how they'd be received. "Wh-why don't you come sit on the couch? We could, um. E-eat more. Candy. Ha. I have movies?"

Wen Ning has no plans for Halloween. Neither does Zhuzhi, his reserved and quiet roommate. Might as well not have plans together, right?
